Do not use IBUKEY 5% gel if:

• You are allergic to ibuprofen or any components of the medicine.
• You have sunburn in the affected area.
• You have experienced allergic reactions (rhinitis, difficulty breathing, asthma, urticaria, pruritus, etc.) due to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories.

Exercise caution when using IBUKEY 5% gel:

• Avoid use on mucous membranes, wounded or eczema-affected skin.
• If asthmatic or allergic to food or medicine colorings (e.g., tartrazine), use cautiously.
• Prevent eye contact during application.
• Do not expose the treated area to sunlight, use with dressings, or apply to extensive areas.
• Avoid simultaneous application with other medicines on the same area.

For Pregnancy: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

For Breast-feeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

Usage in Children: Avoid administering this medicine to children under 12 years old.

Concurrent Medication Use: Notify your doctor or pharmacist about your current or recent use of any other medications, particularly analgesics, even those obtained without a prescription.

Indications

IBUKEY 5% gel is a topical gel designed for cutaneous application (on the skin). It is available in 30 g and 60 g tubes.

This medication functions as both an analgesic and a local anti-inflammatory agent. IBUKEY 5% gel is specifically recommended for the local relief of mild and occasional pain and inflammation resulting from various conditions, including small contusions, blows, distensions, stiff neck or other contractures, lumbago, and mild sprains caused by twisting.

Ingredients

• IBUKEY 5% gel contains ibuprofen as the active substance, with each 100 g of gel containing 5 g of ibuprofen.
• Other components (excipients) include sodium hydroxide, isopropyl alcohol, hyetellose, benzyl alcohol, herbal perfume, and purified water.

Instructions

Adhere to these instructions unless otherwise directed by your doctor. IBUKEY 5% gel is intended exclusively for external cutaneous use (on the skin). Keep IBUKEY 5% gel out of reach and sight of children. There are no specific preservation conditions necessary. Ensure not to use IBUKEY 5% gel after the expiration date mentioned on the packaging. 

For individuals aged 12 and above: Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily, gently massaging to aid absorption. Remember to wash your hands after each application.

Limit usage to a maximum of 7 consecutive days. If you find IBUKEY 5% gel to be too potent or insufficient in its effect, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If you accidentally use more IBUKEY 5% gel than recommended, the likelihood of intoxication is low due to its external use. However, in case of accidental ingestion, promptly seek medical attention. Provide details about the medicine and the quantity ingested, as it may lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, vertigo, spasms, and decreased blood pressure.

Possible side effects of IBUKEY 5% gel, like all medicines, may occur.

• Infrequent (in less than 1 out of 100 patients but more than 1 out of 1000): redness, itching, and a sensation of skin burning in the application area, which typically resolve upon discontinuing the treatment.
• Rare (in less than 1 out of 1000 patients): dermatitis (skin inflammation) triggered by sunlight.
